Located in Dublin and Jaffrey, Monadnock may not be high by New Hampshire standards -- just 3,165 feet -- but it stands alone and is 1,500 to 2,000 feet above the surrounding hills. The picturesque mountain affords wonderful views, and is reputedly the second most climbed mountain in the world because of the ease of its trails and proximity to urban centers.
