New Hampshire Historical Society library

The New Hampshire Historical Society's library is located at 30 Park Street, Concord, New Hampshire. Telephone: 603/228-6688

Hours: The library and its main reading room are open Tuesday through Saturday, 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Special collections materials are accessible to researchers Tuesday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. If you are planning to do extensive research in special collections, we encourage you to let us know by contacting Reference Librarian Bill Copeley at bcopeley@nhhistory.org or 603/856-0641. This will enable us to prepare materials in advance of your visit, making the most of the time you spend at the Society.

Directions: Take Interstate 93 to Exit 14. Northbound - turn left at the light at the end of the exit ramp; Southbound - turn right at the light at the end of the exit ramp. Move into the left lane in order to take a left onto North Main Street. Take the next right onto Park Street (a one-way street that goes up the right side of the State House). At the stop sign, continue straight; the New Hampshire Historical Society's library is the granite building on the right. Metered parking is available on surrounding streets. Street parking is free on Saturday and Sunday.

Library researchers and visitors are encouraged to take advantage of free parking at the Museum of New Hampshire History just three blocks away. Bring your parking lot ticket to redeem for an exit token at either the museum or library reception desks.


Museum of New Hampshire History

The Museum of New Hampshire History is located at Eagle Square, Concord, New Hampshire. Telephone: 603/228-6688

Hours: Tuesday through Saturday, 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday 12 noon to 5 p.m. The museum is also open Monday 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. from July 1 through October 15, and in the month of December.

Directions: Take Interstate 93 to Exit 14. Northbound - turn left at the light at the end of the exit ramp; Southbound - turn right at the light at the end of the exit ramp. Stay in the right lane. At North Main Street turn right. Take the next right onto Storrs Street. Pass under a bridge and overhead parking garage; the museum parking lot entrance is on the left just as you begin to emerge from under the overhead parking garage. At the parking lot entrance gate, take a ticket to open the lot gate. After parking, cross Storrs Street to the museum entrance. The museum is a four-story granite building.

Parking is free for museum and New Hampshire Historical Society library visitors. Bring your parking lot ticket to redeem for an exit token at either the museum or library reception desks.
