Henry P. Moore was born in Goffstown, NH, the son of Hugh and Eliza Robinson Moore. In 1842 the Moore family moved to Concord. Moore first had a career drawing and painting views of communities including Concord and Burlington, Vermont, for publication. By 1862 he had a flourishing career as a photographer producing portraits and stereographs for sale. He operated a successful photographic studio in Concord until 1900.
