Saving, preserving, and sharing for all time… Preserving the best of our shared history for the benefit of future generations is what the New Hampshire Historical Society is all about. When you remember the Society with a bequest or through gift planning, you help to bring the vast resources of our library and museum collections to the citizens of New Hampshire and beyond – forever. These gifts create a lasting legacy and create extraordinary opportunities for our future. Including a bequest in your will or establishing a trust with the Society in mind is planning your giving for the future. Through planned giving, you have options to:
How do you want to be remembered? Gifts that come to the Society through one’s estate are placed in the Society’s endowment. This policy of the trustees has served the Society well over the years, creating an ongoing source of income year after year and growing the permanent endowment. Here is a list of the Society’s named endowment funds and their purposes. The Society has established a Gift Acceptance Policy, outlining various gift options, their purposes, and the responsibilities of the staff and trustees in assisting in charitable giving arrangements. For more information on the different kinds of charitable giving arrangements, please contact Anne Hamilton, director of development, at 603/856-0608 or ahamilton@nhhistory.org. When you let the Society know about your estate plans you automatically become a member of the Edward and Julia Tuck Society. This program honors people in their lifetime for future gifts made to the Society. Of course, you can choose to remain anonymous. Planned gifts provide the resources that create extraordinary opportunities and safeguard the Society’s future.
