Scope and Content: A Friend Came to Lunch: The Annual Fishing Party of President John Sloan Dickey, June 24-28, 1955, Dartmouth College Grant, Wentworth Location, New Hampshire documents President Dwight D. Eisenhower's lunch visit to Management Center of the College Grant in Wentworth Location, New Hampshire. The volume contains maps showing the locations of the College Grant and the buildings within the area, as well pictures and text illustrating the visit. The album has a narrative with background information on the visit and Dickey's annual fishing trip. The text and captions were prepared by Sidney C. Hayward, Secretary of Dartmouth College, and John A Rand, Executive Director of the Dartmouth Outing Club. Photography was done by Adrain N. Bouchard, College Photographer, and Frank A. Pemberton, Director of the Dartmouth News Service. Production of the album was supervised by Edward Connery Lathem, Director of Special Collections at the Dartmouth College Library. Composition and printed was completed by The Stinehour Press, Lunenburg, VT. Accompanying the album are 12 - 8 inch by ten inch loose photographs also from Dickey's trip.
