Scope and Content: Undated photographic print a Concord, NH, Fire Department hand-tub engine decorated in flags and being pulled in what appears to be a parade. The caption states, "The last 'Hand-tub Engine' to be in force in Concord. Purchased by the city in 1859, and in 1868, its use-fulness was passed on to the new Steamer 'Kearsarge' No. 2. It had been housed on Warren street, site of the Central Station. 'Pennacook,' Engine Co., No. 4. This was the name of the company, located on Warren Street, between State and Green Streets-Ward 5, Entitled to 50 men. O. G. Ingallas, Foreman, C. T. Lane, Asst. Foreman, John H. Nichols, Clerk, C. H. Nrewall, Treasurer. Samuel Edmunds, Engingeer [Engineer]. Schedule of Property: House and land $1200.00 / Engine 800.00 / Horse Carriage 100.00 / 400 ft Leather Hose at 40c 160.00 / 100 ft Linen Hose at 30c 30.00 / $2290.00."
