Scope and Content: Series one contains correspondence of the White family from 1777 to 1913. Early correspondence dates from ancestors of the White family including Nathaniel White's father, Samuel White. The correspondence is then organized by correspondent with Armenia White's correspondence first, followed by Nathaniel White, with both Whites coming last. The subjects of the letters cover a range of topics from family and business matters to religious and social movements. Most notably are letters from Parker Pillsbury, Susan B. Anthony, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, and William Lloyd Garrison. These notable correspondents are noted in the folder listing.
