Virtual Field Trips

Granite State school kids have been visiting the New Hampshire Historical Society for decades to learn more about the state we all love. Now the Society offers an exciting new program that lets kids virtually explore New Hampshire history.

Introducing 5 Granite State Icons

This virtual field trip experience, 5 Granite State Icons, engages students with key facts and themes about New Hampshire’s history and sparks kids’ curiosity about how New Hampshire has changed over time. The program combines fun, kid-friendly videos and live interaction with one of the Society’s museum educators to help kids explore some important state icons and symbols.

This is a great option for schools that face geographic, financial, or logistical challenges in scheduling field trips. It is also a helpful preview activity for students who will visit the Society for an on-site field trip. 5 Granite State Icons gives kids a behind-the-scenes peek at the New Hampshire Historical Society’s building and collections. The content complements but does not repeat the content of our on-site Discovering New Hampshire program.

Join the New Hampshire Historical Society on a virtual field trip through what makes the Granite State amazing and unique!
