Scope and Content: The Codaire and Morse Family Photographs consist primarily of portrait photography of the Richard and Gertrude (Morse) Codaire family of Manchester, NH, and her Morse relatives. Dating from 1874 to 1960, with the bulk of images undated, the majority of photographs are individual portraits of family members as infants, children, and adults. A few images cover life events, such as Margaret Codaires 1942 wedding to dArcy Sproul-Bolton, and Ernest Webster Codaire in his military uniform. Most of the images are identified. Other materials in this collection include a folder of miscellaneous family papers dating from 1849 to 1970. These papers include wedding invitations, an 1849 marriage certificate for Samuel and Adeline Harmon, a calling card for William Webster Morse, a 1949 oversized diploma for Margaret Codaire from the University of New Hampshire, a newspaper clipping on Webster J. Morse, and an 1874 letter from P. B. to Miss Gertrude Morse inviting her to visit.
