William Loeb Bobblehead
William Loeb (1905–81) was publisher of the New Hampshire Union Leader from 1946 to 1981. His provocative front-page editorials made the paper one of the best-known and most-influential in the country, benefitting from nationwide attention every four years during the state’s first-in-the-nation primary. A conservative, Loeb strongly endorsed and denounced presidential aspirants. In New Hampshire, Loeb is best-known for promoting "the pledge" against a broad-based sales or income tax. A quote from Daniel Webster graces his front page: “There is nothing so powerful as truth…” The limited-edition bobblehead measures 8" high.
