Winter scene. 1930's-style car right foreground, stopped before train tracks, with licence plate "N.H. / 1932". Railroad crossing sign at left. Locomotive, engine number "1465", approaches from right. Boston Maine caboose stopped on second track. Railroad station, center left background with snow-covered hip roof, white clapboards, and green trim; sign "HENNIKER" hangs from eaves. Several figures stand at left including a conductor and engineer. Printed signature lower right: "ARCH Mc DONNELL". Printed inscription lower right in margin: "Henniker, N.H., Railroad Station, an original painting by Arch McDonnell / Courtesy of Richard L.
