Description: Communion Flagon. Silver-plated white metal. Tall body with bulbous bottom quickly tapering to a thin top. Vertical step band with raised pattern near top of bulbous section. Raised pattern also near mouth. Domed pedistal base with broad dome foot. Small double domed hinged lid with upside down bell shaped finial with four raised dots around bottom and small ball on top. Handle side of lid has a raised segmented heart shape below a small hole. Bezel fits inside mouth of body. Handle is angular with rectangular cross-section with relief scroll pattern on both sides. Molded leaf at terminal. Spout is angular with beveled sides and elaborate decorative detail. Covered with D-shaped cutout at openning. Engraved: "ALL / Saints Church, / FROM / L.B.H. / AND / C.A.T." Marking: stamped in center of bottom, "MERIDEN / B.COMPANY" surrounding a scale inside a shield. "16" stamped on bottom.

Provenance: Part of a communion set reportedly used in the Lady Altar of the All Saints Church in Peterborough, NH. It came to the NHHS either directly from the church or by way of Mrs. William H. Schofield who was the donor of the church and much of its property.
