Description: Manhole cover, cast steel (.5" plate), triangular, made and used in Nashua, NH. Equilateral triangle with rounded corners, 29" on each side. Cast lettering on top surface: "B.P.W. / NASHUA FOUNDRIES / INC. / NASHUA N.H." Also cast on top are 27 small raised triangles. Three holes, each .75" diam.

Dimensions: H-3.5 W-29 inches

Provenance: One of many given to the Nashua Historical Society by the Nashua Board of Public Works as the triangular covers are being replaced by round ones. Nashua Foundries first made triangular manhole covers for the City of Nashua in 1919.
