1867 Exhibited at the Buffalo (New York) Fine Arts Academy

1868 Listed as artist in Buffalo city directory

1876 Moved to New York City; produced earliest known White Mountain work; first exhibited at the National Academy of Design and the Brooklyn Art Association

1878 Moved to Boston; exhibited at the Boston Art Club

1880s Traveled in Europe and studied with Emile Charles Lambinet; exhibited at the Royal Academy of Arts, London, and at the Paris Salon

1892 Traveled to California and painted in Yosemite

1893 Solo exhibition in the commercial gallery of Hall and Garrison, New York City

1905 Died in Washington, D.C.
