Description: Set of 72 silversmith's tools used by August Anshelm at the William B. Durgin Company, Concord, NH. Tools include hammers, files, stakes, punches, chisels, wire and rod, sharpening and polishing supplies, and a horseshoe stamp.

Provenance: Used by Augustus Anshelm (1875-1938) of Cambridge, MA and Concord, NH. Father-in-law of donor. Silversmith in Boston, then at William B. Durgin Company, Concord, NH. While at Durgin, worked on U.S.S. New Hampshire silver service.

Marks indicate that August Anshelm worked for Goodnow & Jenks, Boston, prior to employment by the Durgin Company.
