Description: Cream pitcher, silver or nickel plate, used at the Alpine House (Mount Madison House), Gorham, NH. Oval body with rectangular handle and spout opposite the handle. Decorated with plain bands at the top and bottom. Bottom plate is slightly concave. Engraved in script on side, "G.D.S.", for Guilford Dudley Stratton, manager of the Alpine House from 1882 to 1905. Stamped on bottom, "[anchor] WM ROGERS & SON.16 / HARTFORD CONN." and "205", which is double struck.
