Scope and Content: Genealogical notebook written and maintained by Dr. Thomas Chadbourne dated 1861, though additional entries were added after the death of Dr. Chadbourne in 1864 by his granddaughter Anna Berry Smith. The volume documents generations of the Chadbourne family beginning with the emigration of the family to the Maine and New Hampshire areas in the 1650s. In addition to birth, death, and marriage dates, Chadbourne also recorded biographical information about his ancestors, including members of the Osgood family, particularly James Osgood (1707-1757) and Hannah Osgood (1710-1782). Once moving to New Hampshire, the families mostly lived in Concord and Conway, though several other towns in New England are mentioned.
