Scope and Content: Two volumes from Paul H. Bixby of Francestown, NH. The first volume title, "Miscellaneous Recipient," dates from 1832 to 1852 and contains a collection of miscellaneous recipes, including those for ink, medication, laundry, and and alcohol; sermons; and deaths in Francestown and nearby towns, including Weare, Bennington, Antrim, Amherst, and Hopkinton. The second volume is an account book with entries from 1838 to 1869. Bixby was a founder of Francestown Bank, cashier of the National Bank and treasurer of the Savings Bank and Merchants Bank.
