Scope and Content: Photographic print Of the Martello Tower on Tybee Island, GA, taken between June 1862 and May 1863 by Henry P. Moore. Moore believed the tower was constructed by the Spanish in 1537 and the image shows the tower being used by soldiers on guard duty. The image also shows soldiers at work carring water and drilling.
