Scope and Content: The financial papers of the White family mostly originate from Nathaniel White's business, political, and social activities. The first section of bills and receipts concern Nathaniel White's activities with the Eagle Coffee House, which became the Eagle Hotel. The Eagle Hotel was a popular political and social meeting place, which was frequently a stop on many stage routes. There are also financial papers from different aspects of Nathaniel's railroad and stage route interests. There are also deeds and legal documents concerning the White family's estate and business holdings. Other miscellaneous financial papers include payroll from the Sunapee Lake Hotel and some waybills.
