Scope and Content: The bulk of the collection pertains to the Oliver Patch Whitcomb family. Oliver Patch Whitcomb was a Civil War veteran and the collection contains records of his service. The family, beginning with the Chase family, has a long history in the town of Troy, NH, and Richmond, NH. The collection of glass plate negatives provides images of the Troy area, as well as supposed family members. Occupying boxes 3 and 4, the glass plate negatives were identified by the photographer and transferred to sleeves as received.
